07.2007 - Beevision launches the new Canadian Centre for Diversity Website

The Canadian Centre for Diversity is the sister company to the Canadian Council for Christians and Jews. 06.2007 - Nina Beveridge and Susan Nation win TWO pitch slots at the 2007 Banff Television Festival!
Nina Beveridge and Susan Nation pitched their documentary "Suck It Up Princess" at the CTV Documart and their multiplatform project "Cupid's Café" at the Bell Fund iPitch. Both projects are currently in development.

05.2007 - Beevision calls it a wrap with 2007's CMC Markets spots
In association with Team Adrenaline, Beevision provided complete production and post production services to Working Brands, the ad agency for CMC Markets, to create CMC's 2007 ad campaign. Director/Editor Paul Hart crafted these spots together along with Gordon James, Nina Beveridge and Drew Williams of Working Brands.

02.2007 - The Calling wins "The Olympic Spirit Award" in Poland
In February 2007 Team Adrenaline Director Paul Hart attended the nationally televised First Annual FICTS Festival in Warsaw, Poland.
Amidst the star studded event, featuring entertainers like jazz songstress Eve Mendes, he collected the
Olympic Spirit Award for "The Calling".

01.2007 - Create-A-Date Wins Top 10 Spot in the Great Canadian Video Game Competition!
Beevision Productions has been developing multi-platform properties in partnership with Hop To It Productions since the Spring of 2006, when Hop To It was awarded Bell Funding on two projects, Hip Hop in the T-Dot and Big Grin's House Party. Now Beevision and Hop To It are the proud developers of a new interactive game concept called Create-A-Date which is generating a lot of interest. Targeted to the casual game market, Create-A-Date is a humourous, romantic role playing and fantasy game for the internet.
On January 15th, Telefilm Canada announced Create-A-Date as one of the 10 Round 1 Innovation winners of the Great Canadian Video Game Competition. Aside from receiving development funding and invaluable industry mentorship, the producers - Nina Beveridge and Susan Nation - will travel to the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco in March to pitch for acceptance into Round 2 financing. Only 4 will be selected to move forward in the competition. Keep your fingers crossed!

11.2007 - Beevision is proud to be a part of the 59th Annual Awards Dinner for The Canadian Council for Christians and Jews
In association with Team Adrenaline, Paul Hart directed and Nina Beveridge and Gordon James produced for The Canadian Council of Christians and Jews a series of short films that premiered in the fall of 2006 at the star studded 59th Annual Awards Dinner held at the Royal York, Toronto. The honoured guests and recipients of the Human Relations Award were Sandra Faire and Ivan Fecan as well as Linda Frum and Howard Sokolowski.
The films were shot in High Definition by DOP Bongo Kolycius and featured three diverse forms of dance, ballet, tap and hip hop. Choreographed to an original world beat track composed by Tim Thorney of Tattoo Music, our dancers provided a visual metaphor for diversity, learning and harmony. Intercut with the dance footage were compelling interviews of students who had enriched their lives by participating in various Canadian Centre for Diversity programs.

02.2007 - Hip Hop in the T-Dot launches on Rogers Television!
Susan Nation and Nina Beveridge are proud to launch T-Dot's hippest dance show "Hip Hop in the T-Dot"!
Hip Hop in the T-Dot was funded in part by the Bell New Media Fund - for the Development and creation of a website in conjunction with the television series. http://www.Hip-HopTV.com. The webiste features an innovative online choreography and dance application called Dancemania that tests the limits of streaming media in various capacities. It also features excerpts from the newest hip hop dance classes, interviews with dancers, choreographers and dance instructors.

06.2006 - Beevision posts another season of Parts Canada Superbike Championships -- in HD!
Beevision Productions continues its strong relationship this year with Professional Motorsports Productions. From June until September Beevision will be onlining all 8 episodes of the Parts Canada Superbike Championships in High Definition for broadcast on TSN. This is the first year the series will be produced in High Definition.
Beevision also produced the Opening and did the broadcast design on an entirely new Graphics Package, all in High Definition.

05.2006 - The Idealist - James Beveridge, Film Guru Premiers!
After three years in the making, "The Idealist - James Beveridge, Film Guru", the feature length version of the POV documentary film about the life of prolific filmmaker James Beveridge as discovered and documented by his daughter Nina, premiered at the NFB Cinema. The event was hugely successful with an attendance of friends, family, and filmmakers. Joanne Smale and her staff at Planet3 Communication did a wonderful job pulling it all together along with the Amazing Food Service. Thank you to both Rudy Buttignol, Commissioning Editor for TVOntario and to Peter Raymont Executive Producer, for their inspiring opening words. The one hour film premiered on TVOntario on May 17th, 2006 at 10pm.

04.2006 - 12th Annual Thea Awards Gala at the Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim, California
Olympic Spirit Toronto wins the coveted THEA Award for "Branded Visitor Centre"
Olympic Spirit Toronto President Glenn Miller and Olympic Spirit Group International President Mark Dzenick proudly accepted the THEA Award fro "Branded Visitor centre". "The Calling", produced by Team Adrenaline and edited by Beevision, was Olympic Spirit's featured media. Team Adrenaline/Beevision also worked extensively to help bring all the interactive media to the screens throughout the Olympic Spirit Toronto facility.

04.2006 - The Idealist - James Beveridge, Film Guru wins Platinum Remi at Worldfest Houston
The Idealist – James Beveridge, Film Guru received top honours at Worldfest Houston, taking the Platinum Remi Award in World Peace and Understanding at the April 30th awards ceremony in Houston. More than 4500 category entries were competing from 33 different countries. The category of World Peace and Understanding saw more than 50 competitors.
WorldFest is the third oldest film festival in North America. The festival was founded by filmmaker J. Hunter Todd and helped to discover such directors as Stephen Spielberg, the Coen brothers and Ridley Scott. For more information about the festival and the award, please visit www.worldfest.org.
Beveridge stated, “My parents believed passionately that film should be used as a tool for social change around the world. They dedicated their lives to the pursuit of this ideal. It is heartwarming that this film is being honoured with the WorldFest Platinum Remi Award for World Peace and Understanding, and it is a testament to the success of my parent’s work.”

11.2005 - The Calling wins the AMOVA award
On behalf of Team Adrenaline, Director/Editor Paul Hart attended the Milan's FICTS Festival in Italy. Amidst the best in international sports media, he collected the Amova Award and also received the Mention D'Honneur in the Olympic Spirit category. The festival is held in Milan, Italy, under the High Patronage of the Italian Republic and is the only film festival in the world officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee. The Calling was awarded for its moving and unforgettable images depicting the true nature of the athletic spirit, Olympism, and humanity. This High Definition film features a 10.1 surround sound track and was produced by Team Adrenaline for Olympic Spirit Toronto. The Calling is comprised of nearly 100 years of official, never-before-seen Olympic Footage. It was chosen out of 900 entrants from around the world to compete among 190 films in 6 categories.

05.2005 - DANCEMANIA wins iPitch spot at Banff Television Festival
Beevision and Tween Entertainment are currently developing an interactive computer game called Dancemania. Using a combination of live action and animation, Dancemania will allow users to create their own dance routines using professional dancers. They can play around with different backgrounds, import pictures or even video, and then share their dance video creations with their friends.
Think this sounds like fun?? So does the iPitch Jury at the 2005 Banff Television Festival. Dancemania was chosen as one of three finalists out of hundreds of applicants and given a spot to pitch the game to industry professionals for a chance at $10,000 in Bell New Media Funding. The pitch takes place on June 15th – wish us luck!

01.2005 - Beevision and Tween Entertainment team up to create new Kids Series
Susan Nation of Tween Entertainment has teamed up with Nina Beveridge and Paul Hart to produce a children’s TV series called Sophie’s Kids Camp. A pilot for the series has just wrapped and includes four episodes guest starring members of the Toronto based hip-hop dance group R.U.K.U.S, among other dance performers and teachers. The kids learn how to hip-hop, reggae and jazz with 12 year old Sophie, her friend Big Grin the Croc, and Belle the Cat. In a unique animated environment, with original music by Jack and Asher Lenz , this series is sure to get the kids off the couch and moving along with Sophie and her friends.
Addendum - Sophie's Kids Camp is now in development as "Big Grin's House Party". Nina, Susie and Paul have joined forces to create a new company to produce multi-platform content called Hop To It Productions.

11.2004 - Shooting wraps up on "The Idealist - James Beveridge, Film Guru"
Nina Beveridge, Paul Hart, and Bongo Kolycius have finally returned from their whirlwind shooting experience that brought them through Ottawa, Montreal, New York, North Carolina, Washington DC and all the way to India. Close to 100 hours of exquisite footage and brilliant interviews were captured with some of Canada’s, India’s, and America’s leading documentary and television pioneers.
Beevision is now in post production and hopes to have a Rough Cut by the end of March 2005. Documentary Guru is set to air on TVO in the 2005-06 season.

07.2003 - Beevision receives full funding for Weird Years New Media development
Beevision receives funding from the Bell New Media Fund and the Telefilm New Media Fund to produce an interactive web-site for YTV. "Weird Years" is an animated tween series currently in development with YTV and Lenz Entertainment. The site is a precursor to the animated series, with 3J's Productions. Using a new 3D interactive interface, Beevision has created a fun, entertaining and educational site for kids in between the ages of 9-13. Weird Years is an exploration of those "tween' years - that time of insecurity and bewilderment about our bodies, our feelings, and our relationships.
Addendum - Weird Years is now completing its first season on YTV.

06.2003 - Corus Entertainment wins a silver at the BDA
Corus Entertainment wins a Silver at the prestigious Promax and Broadcast Design Awards in Los Angeles, CA for EDITING the Edge TV Brand Spot for Corus Entertainment. Editing by Beevision's Paul Hart. Beevision is commissioned by Corus Entertainment to edit promotional campaigns for Scream and EDGE TV.

09.2001 - Harbourfront's Festival of Creative Genius
Beevision provided consultation, editing, design and animation for the media in Harbourfront's prestigious Festival of Creative Genius, an event that honoured fourteen of the greatest creative geniuses of today. Each artist had a series of installations and accompanying media pieces designed specifically for them and about them by teams of top directors and producers such as:

10.1998 - Beevision and Puppetworks co receive the Gemini Award for Outstanding Technical Achievement
Nina Beveridge was the proud recipient of a Gemini Award which she won in combination with Puppetworks TRF, for the development of the Puppetworks digital motion capture system.
